In my life I have played countless video games. Over the years, I’ve learned to not only enjoy playing games, but to study the games I play. To understand what makes a classic, a classic. To find what works, what doesn’t work, and to think up ideas on how a game might be improved upon. It is a true passion of mine. Which is why I’ve set out to make it my career as well. And although I was formally trained as a Producer, I believe, to truly excel, one must understand all aspects of what makes a game great.
With that being said, in an effort to exercise my game design skills, I will be keeping a small blog here on this page. My hopes for this blog are for me to be able to provide a critical analysis of the various video games I’ve played over the years. While it would be impossible for me to cover every game I’ve ever played, I will be making posts about games that I think are worth talking about. I’m hoping to cover all sorts of genres and platforms, but some will obviously get more attention than others. Keep in mind, this isn’t meant to be a review, I won’t be scoring the games, and there will be aspects that I won’t talk about if I don’t find it necessary. And, I will say this only once, there will be spoilers. Consider yourself warned.
So, without further blathering on, join me down the virtual rabbit hole!
